So You Want to Start a Home Business?

There are several things to consider when one decides that he or she would like to start a home business. It requires commitment, desire, persistence, and sacrifice, to name just a few characteristics. One must possess a "do or die" attitude to have a fighting chance to succeed. It is not an easy task. This is never more true than when put into the context of Internet marketing.

The harsh reality is that 97% of all people who try to make a go of it on the Internet will fail. Is it for a lack of trying? No. Is it because they did not have enough desire? No. Now, while it is true that many people do give up quickly and decide it is simply not worth it, that is OK. Not everyone is going to want to make the sacrifices that being an entrepreneur requires.

There is nothing wrong with having a regular job, with regular hours, and benefits provided by the company, if you enjoy what you do. There are a great number of people who do not like what they do, but for one reason or another they decide they are comfortable with that and can live with it. That too, is fine. But there are those who just cannot seem to fill their insatiable appetites to do more...these are the entrepreneurs.

They know they want something more, they chase their dreams, no matter what. They fail frequently, but they keep putting in the long hours, the research, and whatever else it takes to "do it better next time." This is repeated until it yields the desired results, sometimes taking a lifetime.

We need the dream chasers or we would not progress forward in areas of medicine, science, or technology. You must decide if you are one of those people who take big risks and hope to achieve big results. There is no guarantee, but that will not stop the serious entrepreneur. If this sounds like you, then take that first step.

What is that first step? Do you know? You may say come up with a business plan. You may say you need to advertise or create your own website. These are all things that need to be implemented into the initial set up. However, the best and most efficient way to begin a successful business is to start with that great idea and take it to someone who knows the business.

In other words, to improve your chances for success you need a mentor, someone who can help you come up with an appropriate business plan and increase your exposure. Face it, you would not want to ask a fast food cashier how to run the whole chain, would you? Of course not. You need someone who can help you get started on the right foot.

If you are serious about starting your own Internet marketing business from home, then start with the professionals who yield the results you desire. We can show you how to proceed in the right direction, which will significantly increase your chances for success, and save you a huge amount of time and expense; Two things that the majority of us have had to deal with to learn how to do these things the hard way.

If you have the genuine desire and sincere determination to start your own home business, the time is now. Our economy is in the worst shape it has been in several decades. So you want to start your own home business-what are you waiting for, today looks like a great day to begin!-PJ

4 P's to Success

There is no question about it; to get ahead, you have to pay your dues. It is not easy, it is not fast, but if you stick with it, you will eventually reach the results that you desire. There are 4 P's to success in any business endeavor you choose - passion, patience, perseverance, and prospective.

Let's take a look at patience first. Many people want a fast answer their money woes and especially with the way the economy is now a days, that is no surprise. However, to make sure that you set up your business the right way, you cannot rush. It is easy to do and a HUGE MISTAKE. I am guilty of this in part from just not knowing how to go about utilizing the internet for my business ventures and being in a hurry to get cash flow into my bank account. I was able to learn from my mistakes, and there were many. It is my intention to help others to avoid these costly mistakes.

Secondly, perseverance is key. I found myself having to literally reeducate myself in areas that I knew little to nothing about in order to move in the direction of success. This requires a strong desire to learn what you need to know in order to educate yourself as well as the burning initiative to take the steps you require to gain the success you crave. If you do not have that, you will get nowhere fast. There are headaches and setbacks along the way, but you must keep going to reach your goals.

Next, you must have prospective. Give yourself a set amount of time to achieve your goals and if you fall short at that time then you need to step back and reevaluate the situation you are in. Do you need to restructure to make a positive impact? Or start over? Perhaps you find yourself thinking, this is not for me, but at least I tried. The most successful people will always tell you that you will fail big before you achieve big success. You have a choice to accept failures and look at them as learning experiences or as defeats. I will be brutally honest here; If you look at them from the latter prospective, then being an entrepreneur is most definitely NOT for you.

Last, but far from least, there is the PASSION that goes into every creation. Everyone is good at something, and you must find that something that drives you; that one thing (or maybe two) you are passionate about. Making money doing something you love is necessary to succeed. If you hate what you do, then you will not put in the energy that is required. You will not reach your goals. PASSION is the final key.

Keep focused, keep going, be realistic, and look for what makes you tick. You will succeed-eventually.-PJ
